Volt Raceway Bowmanville: Race Your Way to Top Photography Marks

Durham Region is full of unique businesses, and sometimes those businesses are the perfect backdrop for photos! This couples photoshoot happened inside Bowmanville’s Volt Raceway - an entertainment hub for all ages. It has an arcade, bowling, billiards, restaurant and a raceway track, plus a little more! We immediately knew we wanted to use the arcade as our venue of choice. It fit in perfectly with our vision - lights and colour.

Choosing Volt

It was an easy choice. I had previously visited Volt in the past, and remembered the arcade and how colourful and bright it was. I knew already that I wanted the theme of this shoot to be full of colour and for the bokeh to blur out the neon lights behind. It was easy to decide on choosing Volt, and getting in touch with their management team was easy and professional.

Connecting with their team was a straightforward and uncomplicated process. I submitted in my request/question to their company email and within just a couple days I received a response back. Luckily, they were very happy to accommodate and offer up their space for us to complete this photoshoot. They offered up their space an hour before public opening so that we could photograph with more privacy. It was very appreciated and we were all very impressed by the customer service and general kindness we received from staff.

The Cost Associated

There was a fee associated with photographing at the Volt. With the one hour time limit - this fee came to $75 plus tax.

Waivers to sign

All parties involved, including the photographer and each model signed a photography waiver. This was signed at the beginning of our shoot. We each received one upon entry and each were given a pen - I know that sounds pretty regular to each be given a separate pen but it was those little conveniences that made the process go that much faster.
